Your health journey will be as unique as you are.  Getting to the root cause of symptoms can take time, and often there can be more than one factor impacting your health.  Body systems are interconnected, and often an imbalance in one system can have a downstream effect on others. Identifying and addressing imbalances often requires curiosity and patience by you and your care team.  This is why we utilize an integrative approach to support you on your health journey. We blend the best of conventional therapies with holistic therapies such as diet and lifestyle changes, herbs and nutrients, restorative practices and movement, health coaching or mind body skills groups to support and improve your results.

  • Do you accept insurance?
    BluWillo Precision Medicine is an out of network provider and has opted out of Medicare. This means we do not accept insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. Payment is due at the time of service via credit card, HSA/FSA card, cash or check. Patients can be given a receipt that clearly identifies the appropriate service codes (CPT) and diagnostic codes (ICD-10) that they can send into their insurance company for possible reimbursement based on their individual insurance coverage and deductible. There may be services provided that do not carry a CPT code or are not covered by insurance such as health coaching, supplements, nutritional IV therapy or aesthetic services. You can use the company Reimbursify to help you file out-of- network claims to your insurance provider for faster reimbursement. ​ Conventional labs can be billed directly to your insurance by the lab company (such as Lab Corp, Quest, Cleveland Heart, etc) or paid directly to BluWillow Precision Medicine at a negotiated discounted rate if you do not have lab benefits or if you have a high insurance deductible/co-insurance.
  • How are you different from other medical offices?
    Our providers at BluWillo Precision Medicine all have unique training in both conventional medical specialties, as well as advanced integrative medical training. This means that we have all the same training, rights and capabilities of all other conventional medical providers regarding writing prescriptions, ordering labs, diagnostic testing and making referrals to specialists if needed and additionally are specially trained to assist you in identifying the root cause of your imbalances. To accomplish this they assess and look at lifestyle factors such as nutrition, exercise, stress levels and the health of your relationships, taking ample time to listen to your complete history. After taking time to consider all factors, you will work with our staff to develop a detailed and personalized treatment plan, utilizing approaches that help you truly build a foundation of healing and wellness.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We prefer 48 hour notice (in order to be able to fill your time slot from our wait list) but we require 24 hour notice. All last minute or same day cancellations will be billed at 50% of the visit fee. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment you will be charged the full appointment fee.
  • What is your scheduling policy?
    We require all online questionnaires to be completed at least 48 hours prior to your Foundational Assessment Package, therefore we require at least 72 hour notice to schedule your initial appointment. This allows you time to complete your online questionnaires thoroughly, especially your medical history questionnaires. Follow up appointments will be scheduled based on the first available appointment, per your request. For sick visits we will make every accommodation to see you as soon as possible, this may mean it will be a virtual visit.
  • What is the first step in establishing care at BWPM?
    The first step to establishing care with us is called our Foundation Assessment. This is composed of your initial 60 minute consultation. The initial appointment will cover your pre-appointment questionnaires, a deep dive into your health concerns, your medical history and symptoms. Initial laboratory evaluation will be ordered to begin to unravel the root cause of your symptoms. A foundational plan will be recommended based on your top concerns, and you will be provided with links to watch our educational video series. Your second 60 minute appointment will include your initial lab review where we will begin to develop a personalized treatment plan to help you begin to take control of your health. Please note, if you are located outside of the state of Georgia, you will need to visit our office in person at least once in person. If this is not doable for you, please consider our Precision Wellness services which are available anywhere!
  • Is lab testing included in my Foundational Assessment or membership?
    No. Since all labs are ordered based on each individual's personal story or medical history, we are not able to create lab bundles or include lab charges in these visits. We make every effort to order labs that can be billed through insurance. We also recommend functional wellness testing or advanced lab testing which is often cash pay. We have negotiated provider pricing for many of these labs and offer them for the lowest possible fee. All lab charges are discussed with you prior to moving forward with testing. Co-pays will apply for insurance based labs, and these charges will vary based on your health plan.
  • Are there any additional fees for services provided outside my appointment fees?
    Yes, there are individual fees associated with services provided outside of your scheduled appointment. These services could include, but are not limited to referral letters, letters of medical necessity, workplace accommodation forms, prior authorizations and utilizing insurance benefits for lab orders. Fee-for-service patients are billed for these services on an individual basis. These services are included as a part of the monthly membership fee, thus there is no additional charge to members for these services.
  • Can I use my HSA/FSA account to pay for my care?
    Yes! You can use your HSA or FSA for your care with us! You may also be able to get some of your visit cost covered as an out of network provider with your health insurance. We provide a superbill for your clinic services/visits that you can submit to your health insurance for reimbursement.
  • Can my membership be billed to insurance?
    We do not contract with insurance providers, and would be considered an out-of-network specialist. However, we can provide you with a superbill that can be submitted to insurance and your policy may cover services according to their discretion. Due to being out-of-network, we do not directly bill your insurance company, nor are we able to file claims, or check benefits on your behalf. We cannot provide a superbill for participants of Medicare or Medicaid. We are not eligible participants for any of these programs. In most cases, FSA/HSA dollars may be applied to visits, tests, supplements and botanical medicines.
  • Can I transfer my membership to someone else?
    No. Just as your health is individual to you, so is your membership. We do not allow memberships to be transferred between family members or individuals.
  • Can I transfer between the Foundational and the Advanced Support Membership?
    Yes! You can upgrade from the Foundational Membership to the Advanced Support Membership. Our mission is to make personalized medicine accessible. As most people embark on a healing journey, they need more frequent visits up front to identify imbalances and address the root cause of symptoms. Think of your membership as a twelve month payment plan, which allows you to access the support you need without worrying about paying for multiple visits and support services up front at the hourly rate. Once you have signed up for the Advanced Support Membership, you can downgrade to the Foundational Membership after 12 months. You can cancel either membership at any time with 30 days notice. At that time you will be charged for services rendered up to that point at the hourly rate less the sum of your payments to date.
  • Can BWPM be a primacy care provider?
    Although we treat primary care concerns, we cannot be your primary care provider for insurance purposes. Note, we do not have a 24/7 answering service for emergency concerns after business hours, or on weekends. We do work in conjunction with primary care, and we offer preventive care services such as annual visits, labs and medication management. We do not offer Gynecologic exams. We do encourage (and often help find) our patients to establish care with a local primary care physician/gynecologist for conventional needs that may arise.
  • How does messaging work?
    We aim to be your partner in health – whether you need a high five or have questions. Messaging for quick questions, support, or recommendations is available for members through their patient portal. However, if a message is deemed too complicated to address through messaging, your provider may ask you to schedule a brief phone call/appointment to discuss. We try to return all messages within 48-72 business hours, as we do not have coverage on nights, weekends or holidays.
  • What is included in my membership?
    Our mission is to make Personalized Medicine affordable.   • What counts as a visit?
    Visits with your provider can take place in-person, via phone or telehealth video platform. For the Foundational Membership, we include 45 minutes of time with your provider each month. For the Advanced Support Membership, we include 60 minutes with your provider each month. If additional visits/phone calls or communication is needed based on frequent/complex portal messages and frequent phone calls, then additional provider time will be billed at the hourly rate. Provider time does not accumulate and get passed on from month to month. As you begin to heal, you may have months where you do not see the provider individually. This means you are improving!
